Qigong Specialty Class with Sarah Karp

Qigong (pronounced chee-gong) is an ancient Chinese mind-body-spirit practice that blends movement, breath, and intention to promote optimum health and wellness. It’s also been referred to as “energy yoga.”
There are thousands of styles of qigong – tai chi is the most well-known. Sarah will lead various practices throughout the series. To support your wellness journey, each flow will end with self-guided acupressure.

Thai Bodywork at Padonia & Reisterstown

Thai bodywork, or Thai massage, is the ancient healing practice of fusing acupressure and yoga to heal and soothe the body. The combination of stretching, movement, and pressure distinguishes Thai bodywork from other styles. Another trait unique to Thai bodywork, is that it is typically performed on the floor or a Thai mat- this allows the practitioner more leverage when going through mobility sequences. The recipient is fully clothed throughout the session.
